Job Description
Position is contingent upon contract award and will deploy to Afghanistan.

Program Manager
Position Summary
The Operational Planner shall provide assistance with the development and
publication of strategic-level plans, orders, policies and concept papers and
assist other planners in the future plans section with other related major
planning efforts. Contractor employees will never be authorized to sign or
approve plans, orders or FRAGOs.
General Purpose
To support all aspects of CJOA planning for both tactical and non-tactical
operations.


Position Responsibilities
The contractor shall provide for the integration of the embedded coalition staff
and coalition units into all planning and operations. The lead joint strategic
logistics planner will provide input for orchestrating logistics planning. The
contractor shall provide information and logistics input for fragmentary,
warning and operations orders;
The contractor provides input and assists with the production and publication of
all operations orders, fragmentary orders and warning orders. Contractor
employees will never be authorized to sign or approve plans, orders or FRAGOs;
The contractor will assist with development of Commander and staff estimates for
Government approval as needed;
The contractor shall provide input and assists in drafting Joint Operations
Orders and orders IAW standards outlined in joint publications. Contractor
employees will never be authorized to sign or approve plans, orders or FRAGOs;
The contractor will assist and provide input on concept, information and
decisions briefings and General Officer level correspondence;
The contractor shall develop and prepare briefings in PowerPoint and Word
format;
Brief plans and orders. The Contracting Officer Representative or other
Government representative will resolve questions/ambiguities that may arise
during these briefings and is ultimately responsible for the content of
plans/orders;
Participate in and provide input to workgroups in support of the CJ5 planning
efforts. Participate in all CJ5 Joint Planning Groups;
Assist on the development of the SOPs, agendas, formats, databases and planning
calendars;
Provide input on and assist in drafting campaign and/or operational plans for
government approval as needed. Contractor employees will never be authorized to
sign or approve plans, orders or FRAGOs;
Provide assistance on the assessment of effects and objectives of on-going
operations to determine if operational branches and sequels are required.
Support war-gaming of operational branches and sequels.


Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum of a four year degree from a fully accredited college or university
included on the U. S. Department of Education Database of Accredited
Postsecondary Institutions and Programs;
Possess strong oral and written communication skills;
Must have experience working with senior U.S. Government officials and preparing
senior level reports, plans and briefings;
Must have experience in planning at joint (U.S. military), multinational and
interagency level;
Must have experience in formulation and implementation of strategy and strategic
concepts and policies;
Current understanding of the organization, doctrine and operating principles,
not only of DoD, but also the rest of U.S. Government, specifically Department
of State;
Must possess a current U. S. SECRET security clearance;
Problem identification and solving skills;
Computer skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook;
Competent keyboard skills;
Ability to plan, organize, build and present briefings;
Project and Program Management skills;
US Citizen;
Must have a valid US Drivers License and US Tourist Passport;
Honorable discharge from the military (if applicable).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The contractor shall be prepared to work twelve (12) hours a day, seven (7) days
a week. Must be prepared to live and work in an austere environment.
