See details here via the http://iphoneupdate.blogspot.com Blog   Mobile Social Location Aware Apps for the Summer Road Warrior June 19, 2010 at 3:08 AM After a recent road trip where I logged 3,000 miles in the car, I was reminded of just how important mobile technology, and in particular, location aware technologies (think LBS)  are for both business and pleasure use while traveling. Although there are are the usual obstacles to deal with – International roaming, locating free WiFi, securing access to dependable 3G connectivity (or any signal for that matter) and keeping that battery charged – there is also a number of amazing apps and services that enable the user to stay in touch while on the road. In particular, the amazing, location-aware mobile apps are basically a MUST-HAVE for anyone while away from the home or office. Apps from Google (think Google maps mobile), INRIX, Waze, WHERE, Seesmic, Pegshot, and foursquare are indeed must-have tools as are several amazing and free mobile tools that enable users to communicate cheaply with the office and perform crucial work tasks while away (Google Voice, Wordpress mobile, dropbox, and Twitter mobile to name a few). There's nothing like a good road trip to remind you just how crucial Geo and Mobile Technology are in our lives… you developers and tech innovators keep on dreaming up more great ideas for must-have apps!
